I believe in conversational competence leading to grammatical understanding. Communication, particularly oral, is key to everything! Lessons should be fun, dynamic and interesting - whilst students need to feel that they are steadily making progress. And they wil!

My experience of the written and oral aspects of French is extensive. I have lived in France and have family in France. I visit the country in a regular basis. To really appreciate a language you need to be able to understand its people and and it’s culture, and to see how the language springs from it.
