I'm an Art & Drawing Tutor for ages 8–13, and my goal is to help students enjoy art just as much as improving their skills. I believe every child can learn to draw with the right guidance, encouragement, and plenty of practice.

I'm completely self-taught and achieved a Grade 9 (A*) in GCSE Art. Most of what I know came from drawing consistently, experimenting, and learning from online resources, so I understand how important it is to enjoy the process rather than feeling like you're just following rules.

My lessons are designed to be fun, relaxed, and personalised. Rather than asking students to draw things they aren't interested in, I like to build lessons around what they enjoy—whether that's anime, animals, cartoons, fantasy creatures, games, or their own ideas.

We'll still build strong foundations, but in a way that feels creative. We'll start by learning how to recognise simple shapes, then use those shapes to build objects and characters. As students grow in confidence, we'll explore colour, simple colour theory, shading, and different techniques to bring their artwork to life. Once they have those skills, they can use them to draw almost anything they want.

I also love making lessons feel special. Around occasions like Mother's Day, birthdays, or Christmas, we can create personalised cards, drawings, or gifts that students can proudly give to family and friends.

After each lesson, I'll set a small practice activity—not because homework has to be boring, but because the best way to improve at art is simply by drawing a little more each week.

More than anything, I want my students to leave each lesson feeling proud of what they've created, excited to keep drawing, and confident enough to try new things.
