With six months of online tutoring experience, I adeptly utilise platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams for engaging lessons. I was also in sixth-form during lock down so I know what it's like to be on the receiving end of virtual lessons! I encourage cameras on to increase engagement and prioritise creating interesting lesson plans to suit my student. I also like to know how my students are doing in English lessons at school and what they like and dislike about the subject.

Lessons will differ based on the topic, but I often begin with the objectives of the lesson and a fun starter to get the mind ready for the lesson. I incorporate multimedia tools such as videos, online quizzes and use platforms such as Seneca Learning, fostering interactive learning experiences. The lesson will end by going over the key points of the lesson and discussing homework. Depending on the age group, a homework assignment may range from creating a comic strip about the story we read in lesson or writing a story based on a current news story.
