I have been teaching as part of my work, but I am new to teaching languages. I will try to make a personalized plan according to where you are when we start, and what your strengths are. Generally speaking, I think you should focus on terminology and increasing your vocabulary initially so that you can better communicate in a language new to you. For spoken language, accuracy is not as important. For example, 1 fish 2 fish 3 fish in Japanese is (sakana ga) 1piki 2 hiki 3 biki, but if you just said hiki for all of it, a native Japanese would still understand you perfectly. I would like to help you build the foundation so that you could build on it with or without me, and learn the language a native speaker would have as a baby. Japanese also has different nuances depending on the gender of the speaker, so I will be teaching the formal neutral Japanese, but you will let me know if you had any preferences. One great thing about me is that I am dialect free. I grew up in too many places for that. I am nocturnal so I would agree to late hour lessons.
