Helen Knott

Hi! I'm Helen and I'm a qualified English language teacher. I have been teaching English for 3 years and over that time have met so many awesome people. I have taught a range of ages, English levels, backgrounds and cultures and find it such a rewarding experience to see my students gain confidence and skills to improve their English.

I like to start with a focused goal setting session so I can create a tailored plan for best achieving these. Then we get to work! I like to incorporate traditional teaching of Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking with new creative ways of teaching. Language is everywhere and I love finding new ways to incorporate real life scenarios into classroom settings. I am constantly looking to improve my teaching skills and broaden my curriculums, therefore I'd love to have your input and we can learn from each other!

I have been teaching online for most of my ESOL tutoring experience so feel very confident teaching remotely and have discovered great alternatives to in-person teaching such as online learning games. I also speak both French and Spanish, which means I can empathise with my students and understand what it's like to learn a language. Learning a new language can be difficult and exhausting, but I guarantee that we will make excellent progress and improve motivation in no time!
