Having a Master’s in Education, I definitely have a passion for my profession, as well as having a wide and varied experience of delivering highly successful teaching, learning and assessment; in colleges, schools and universities.. I always consider how the learning can be approached, carefully measuring the level and ability of my students. Having taught English both as a first and additional language, I am able to tailor sessions very specifically to individual needs, as well as differentiating for and managing innovative online teaching.

The starting point is always the student:

What is it they are hoping to achieve?
What is the timeframe?
What is their current level?

From this, a dynamic set of lessons can be built, chosen from a menu and giving the student the best hope of achieving their specific goals ‘Student first,’ as a tutor, lecturer and trainer of teachers, this has always been my mantra.

Lessons are approached using tried and tested ways of learning and/or as well as offering the latest concepts and ideas. Depending on student needs there will be plenty of opportunities to try out the target language or improve competencies in written skills, as well as looking at specific parts of language and grammar if required. An initial assessment is always carried out to look at areas for improvement and to help build an individual learning plan.
