When tutoring, I give my students the close attention that is not possible in bigger classrooms, encouraging vulnerability without judgment and a collaborative approach in problem solving.

In the first session, I conduct a baseline assessment to determine the level of my students via discussions or worksheets. Everyone has a different starting point and I encourage my pupils to be honest with their abilities so I can help accordingly. I also gather important dates for tests, exams and projects.

Based on the assessment, I tailor my tutoring sessions by addressing the identified needs. For some, I focus on foundational skills that underlie a topic or subject. For others, I help break down complicated concepts or word questions.

I keep close communication with parents and update them on progress. However, I also advocate a child-first approach where students tell me what they need and how they feel about certain topics.

My main focus is primary and secondary maths, but I also tutor other subjects from primary English to A-level engineering. Please reach out to find out more.
