Heidi Tipper

Welcome to my profile! I am a passionate teacher and tutor, keen to support and motivate students to achieve their best (whether that is with exam preparation or just in understanding content!). I foster an engaging approach of evidence-backed teaching styles to promote progress and help students to enjoy their learning. With a background in Psychology, I have a thorough understanding of how to teach students to apply their knowledge to abstract scenarios, and use their memory to their advantage in their study. To supplement our sessions together, I provide additional revision resources for students through google classroom in order to support and guide them further in making progress, if this is something you feel will help you.

Prior to my teaching career, I attained 13 GCSEs at Grades 6-9, and completed A-levels at a local grammar school in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology (ABA). During this time, I also completed an extended project qualification (B). I then went on to study Psychology at the prestigious University of Birmingham, before moving on to complete my PGCE and SCITT qualification through the University of Derby. Before becoming a teacher, I worked for many years in the hospitality industry, followed by the Equestrian industry, providing me with excellent communicative and leadership skills that will enable me to succeed as your tutor.
