Heidi

I am a qualified Primary Teacher with a PGCE and a strong background in supporting a wide range of learners across Early Years and Key Stage 1 and 2. I have experience teaching and supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including learners with autism and speech and language needs.

My teaching experience includes working with Reception-aged children on early phonics, reading, and writing, as well as preparing pupils for key assessments such as the Phonics Screening Check, KS1 and KS2 SATs, and 11+ entrance exams. I focus on building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy while developing confidence, independence, and a positive attitude to learning.

I have experience adapting lessons to suit individual needs, using structured, engaging approaches to ensure every child can make progress. My teaching style is supportive and encouraging, with a clear focus on helping children feel successful and motivated in their learning.
