I have a passion for teaching and a strong commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. With over 10 years’ experience teaching in secondary and higher education, and my current role in teacher education, I bring both expertise and enthusiasm to every lesson. I offer tutoring in GCSE and A-Level History and English, available online or in-person in the Sheffield area. I specialise in AQA A-Level History, where I also work as a marker and moderator, giving me valuable insight into what examiners are looking for.

My lessons are structured yet flexible, tailored to the needs of each student. Sessions usually begin with a short recap before moving into focused work on key topics or skills. I break down complex ideas into clear, manageable steps, helping you understand not only the “what” but also the “why.” Lessons often include discussion, practice questions, and exam-style tasks to build knowledge, confidence, and exam technique.

In History, I emphasise critical analysis, thematic understanding, and essay structure. In English, I support students in developing strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills — whether that’s literary analysis or crafting clear, effective essays. I also provide practical revision strategies to ensure you feel confident and prepared on exam day.
