Hazel Do

I am a six-year experienced English language teacher back in Vietnam. I had my bachelor's in ELT and I am doing my master degree in TESOL in University of Bristol. I specialize in teaching English grammar and delivering Ielts courses. I am in charge of teaching beginner, intermediate and advanced students; therefore I have to adapt my lessons to accommodate each respective level so as to maximize my students’ learning potential. What I try to accomplish is moving away from the traditional lecture format and toward more learner-centred approaches such as task-based or peer-to-peer learning. In general, the ultimate aim of my English teaching career is to produce confident users of English whose communicative competence and topical knowledge are developed side by side. To achieve this, one major characteristic of my teaching style is to provide continuous detailed feedback, especially spoken, to inform learners of their current ‘location’ and how to reach their ‘destination’.
