I am bubbly, passionate and very empathic. I have extensive experience both personally and professionally in dealing with SEMH and SEND needs, particularly Anxiety and Autism, and I love to be understanding and kind to everyone I meet and if I can make them laugh or smile, I'm happy! .

I love teaching students how to dissect the demands of each paper and allocate appropriate timings for each question and a unique planning template that helps them in all essay subjects. The 2 key marking requirements are Spelling/grammar and structured content. By using this simple template, students can separate the 2 and pay particular attention to one at a time, 'thought-dumping' their instinctive answers onto the page (resulting in a structured plan) and then focussing on the spelling and grammar as they write up the content of each box they've just completed.

I include revision timetabling in my sessions so that students feel fully ready for their exams. I feel it is paramount to help my students feel they can transfer the skills they learn in English or Drama with me into their future endeavours.

I teach simple, short 'mindset' techniques that I gleaned from personal development and from being a successful business owner and I incorporate tips from Acting to easily understand the characters, plot and remember quotes easily.

DRAMA/SINGING
Wedding singer and trained Actor (see Spotlight 'Hayley Emma Otway') with West End lead and Arena experience (NEC, UK and MGM Grand, Las Vegas!). With scholarships at both ArtsEd and Mountview, I've taught Singing, Dance and Drama to ages 4-Adult since 1999. I sing professionally at Weddings and Events and ran my own theatre school at 2 studios in the UK for 8 years.

I love teaching small groups or individuals. I teach online outside of school hours, but can sometimes accommodate some in-person tuition locally during school hours.
