My teaching approach is patient, supportive and tailored to each student’s individual learning style. I break down difficult topics into simple, manageable steps and use clear explanations, examples and practice questions to build understanding. I encourage students to ask questions and learn from mistakes without feeling pressured. I also use active recall, exam-style questions and regular revision to strengthen knowledge and improve confidence. My aim is to make lessons engaging while helping students become more independent and develop effective study habits.

Before introducing a new topic, I like to identify what the student already understands and where they may need additional support. This allows me to focus lessons on areas that will benefit them most, rather than spending unnecessary time on concepts they are already confident with. I adapt my explanations depending on the student, using diagrams, worked examples, questions and real-life applications where appropriate.

I believe that confidence plays a major role in academic success, so I create a friendly environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking for clarification. Rather than simply giving students answers, I guide them through problems and encourage them to explain their reasoning, helping them develop stronger problem-solving skills and independence.

For exam preparation, I focus on understanding the content alongside learning how to apply it effectively. I use past-paper and exam-style questions to identify weaknesses, practise timing and familiarise students with the wording and structure of questions. I also provide constructive feedback and revisit difficult areas regularly to ensure progress.

Ultimately, I want students to leave each lesson feeling more confident, motivated and capable of tackling their studies independently.
