Harold Schmidt Limbunan

Hi, I'm Harold, an engineering student at Imperial College London studying MEng Biomedical Engineering, currently ranked First Class in my first year. At A-Level, I achieved AAA* in Mathematics, Physics, and Biology, and was ranked top in the world for A-Level Maths. I'm also a 12x Maths Olympiad medallist, an experience that has sharpened my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills far beyond the standard curriculum.

I've been tutoring since high school, teaching a wide range of students, from close friends to university-level peers, which has taught me how to adapt my explanations to suit different learning styles and paces. I've also served as a BME Buddy Mentor at Imperial, supporting first-year students with their academic workflows.

My lessons are built around understanding first, not memorisation. I start by identifying exactly where you're struggling and why, then break concepts down into clear, logical steps using examples that make abstract ideas concrete. Having worked through countless past papers, I've developed a sharp eye for the subtle exam techniques and common pitfalls that make a real difference to A-Level results, and I weave these tips into every lesson alongside the core content.

I'm patient, approachable, and genuinely enjoy the process of watching a concept click for a student.
