I will be focusing on first of all learning and fully understanding the content needed, as well as understandung the evaluative points as this is what gets you higher marks. I received an A in psychology and the only reason I did so well was because I had created planned answers for potential questions in each topic. They consisted of AO1 and AO3 content in a table. After revising these, I knew I could answer any question which is how I will be teaching students. I am also currently studying psychology at university, (in my third year) so I have a much deeper understanding of theories and will be able to better explain more basic topics like the ones learnt in A-Level compared to university. Each session will first focus on understanding theories, where I will ask questions to test your knowledge. Then I will be looking at evaluative points such as strengths and limitations of the research, as well as potential theories that offer a better explanation. I will be using notes that I made when studying for my A-Levels to help teach students to also receive the same grade I did, if not better. I also have examples of past papers and model answers that I will be using at the end of each session to help consolidate the information learnt. I think doing a wide range of different past papers was a massive contribution to the reason why I did so well, so I would highly recommend practising between sessions.
