Hi it's lovely to meet you all!
I have a bachelor degree in English and a master degree in Curatorial Practice. I taught Chinese in Thakasempittaya High School, Sakaeo, Thailand when I was on my exchange programme. Using resources from Tiktok and Chinese social media like Weibo, I organised class activities to help students understand the culture rather than the language itself. In this way, you can truly master the language and speak like a native speaker.
My class will be focusing on fun topics and heated discussions happening in China covering a wide range from celebrities gossip to subculture and clubbing. I will demystify the history and development of cyber slangs and some culture shock. I also enjoy cooking as well so we can have a chat about Chinese food, I'm a big fan of spicy food. After all, enjoying the language and culture is more important than how fluent you could be. My class will be structured into 4 parts -
Vocabulary - different vocabulary from beginner level to advanced level according to the topic of class, learning characters from intonation and tone to frequently-used words in daily life
Sentence - making sentences from the vocabularies mentioned in the class
conversation - having a chat about a certain topic using the practiced sentences and vocabularies
writing - learn how to write so that you can be familiarised with the writing sequence of characters - - - Popular topics - music, cooking, social media trend, art, sport
