I prefer a student-centred approach; I will communicate with students and listen to what they are struggling with in their English lessons the most.
I value the use of past papers and mark schemes to understand what the exam board are looking for, which will ensure the best marks.
The dynamic of my lessons will be relaxed but focused, ensuring I motivate my students to focus on the task at hand....

I am an English Language BA student at university, and achieved an A* at a-level and a 9 in GCSE.
Getting to know my students is extremely important, as it helps find out their strengths and areas to improve on, as well as create a relationship of trust. I wish to build a their confidence not just in their academic life, but in all areas of their life ahead.
As an addition, I believe in teaching not only how to complete exams to the highest standard, but also how to manage mentally during exam season. From experience, I know it can be tough, and I will give advice on how to wind down, to ensure that their mental stress is minimal. Short but frequent revision is more impactful than long and tiring hours of work, which only increases stress and fatigue, as well being a less productive way of learning and containing information.
Overall, I love to help students transform into confident individuals and give them a chance to thrive as a young adult in and out of school.
