My sessions are student-led, meaning we focus on what each student feels they need the most support with. We start by identifying weaker areas and then work through them at a pace that suits the student’s ability and confidence. I use past paper questions and retrieval practice to make sure students not only understand the content, but also remember it and feel fully prepared for exams.
I am a final-year psychology student with a genuine passion for the subject and achieved an A in A-level Psychology (AQA). I also have experience working in schools and supporting children with learning difficulties, which has helped me develop a patient, adaptable, and supportive teaching approach. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching style to suit individual needs, whether that involves breaking down complex theories, using real-life examples, or reinforcing key concepts through repetition and active recall.
I can also support students with mastering 16 and 8 mark questions for A-level exams, focusing on effective exam techniques and clear structure. I teach students how to use PEEL paragraphs to develop strong, well-evaluated answers, while emphasising understanding over memorisation. By helping students fully grasp the content, they are better able to retain information and apply it confidently in exams.
I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students structure answers effectively, apply psychological terminology accurately, and meet assessment objectives. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to build confidence, reduce exam anxiety, and foster a genuine interest in psychology.
