I am a highly experienced History teacher (8+ years) and former Head of Department looking to support aspiring Historians in their studies. From addressing gaps in subject knowledge to exam literacy and practice, I will provide a wealth of support and strategies to get you the grades you deserve!

I will always begin by talking with the student: figuring out what they've enjoyed about History so far, subjects of interest and ways of working that work best for them. I will then incorporate and adapt my teaching accordingly to create a tailored curriculum that focuses on their areas of strength and requiring improvement.

Depending on level of study, sessions can range from:
- Exam literacy and application
- Debates and oracy-led enquiries
- Revision and review techniques
- Independent, exploratory learning
- Investigative and critical thinking-led

Whether in person or online, students and their families can rest assured that content will be of the highest quality, using the most cutting edge teaching and learning research and practices to get the most out of your time. I use a combination of resources, including Presentations, oracy-led activities, project-based enquiries and exam application. As a highly experienced teacher, I am confident assessing and providing feedback to students from KS3-5, alongside National Curriculum, Expected Progress and GCSE/A-Level expectations. That way, students and families have a clear idea of what stage their child is working at and review progress in real time.

For GCSE and A-level tuition, I am highly experienced in:
- AQA A-Level History specification, including the NEA (coursework) component
- AQA A-Level Politics specification, particularly British politics and political ideologies
- AQA GCSE History specification, with particular knowledge in Elizabeth and Medicine Through Time
- Edexcel GCSE History specification, with particular knowledge in Elizabeth, Crime and Punishment and the Russian Revolution

I am also able to deliver tutoring services for:
- AQA GCSE Citizenship
- OCR GCSE and A-Level Classical Civilisations

For KS3, I am fully proficient in National Curriculum content for the History syllabus and can teach all core content relevant to your preference.
