My lessons take place online by video call, so you can learn from your office, your home or wherever suits you best. Lessons are usually 60 minutes, but I’m happy to offer shorter sessions if you have a busy schedule. During the lesson, I share materials on screen and use a shared document to write down new vocabulary, corrections and useful phrases, so you have clear notes to review afterwards....

How a typical lesson works
I start with a short, relaxed conversation about your week and your work. It’s a great warm-up and often gives us real examples to work with. Then we move to the main focus of the lesson, which depends on your goals. This might be rehearsing a presentation, role-playing a meeting or negotiation, improving an email you need to send, or learning the language for a specific situation. I finish by reviewing the key vocabulary and corrections, and I may suggest a short task to practise before our next lesson.
Content
All of my lessons are built around your job and your goals. I use a mix of authentic materials such as business articles, videos, real emails and presentation slides, along with my own practical exercises. If you have a real task coming up, bring it to the lesson and we’ll work on it together. That way, every lesson is directly useful.
Lesson dynamics
My lessons are interactive and conversational, with you doing most of the talking. I give clear, honest feedback and correct mistakes in a supportive way that helps you improve without losing your confidence. I adapt the pace to you, so we can slow down to work on something difficult or move faster when you’re ready for a challenge.
My experience
I’ve spent three years teaching English to corporate professionals and entrepreneurs, from managers and consultants to business owners in a range of industries. I understand the pressure of using English at work, and I know how to help students quickly build the skills and confidence they need.
