My lessons are tailored to each individual child to ensure they feel supported, challenged and confident in their learning. As a primary trainee teacher with classroom experience teaching across all primary subject areas, I understand how to adapt lessons to suit different learning styles, abilities and needs. This includes preparing a variety of resources prior to the lesson, as well as making reactive adaptations in order to best support the learner.

At the start of our tutoring journey, I will identify your child’s strengths and areas for development through discussion and informal assessment. This allows me to plan personalised lessons that target gaps in understanding while building on prior knowledge. Each session is structured, engaging and paced appropriately to keep children motivated and focused.

During lessons, I use a range of teaching strategies including clear explanations, worked examples, questioning, scaffolding and interactive activities to make learning enjoyable and accessible. I regularly check understanding throughout the session and adapt my teaching in the moment where needed to ensure your child fully grasps each concept before moving on.

My aim is not only to improve academic attainment, but also to build your child’s confidence and independence as a learner. I create a positive and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and challenging themselves.
