Hajar Makhlouf

Hello and welcome! My name is Hajar, an experienced Arabic tutor passionate about helping students discover the beauty of the Arabic language and learn it with confidence. I specialize in Modern Standard Arabic, Moroccan Darija, Arabic for non-native speakers, and Quran reading with Tajweed.
Over the past year, I have taught more than 5,550 lessons to over 200 students from different countries and backgrounds. This experience has taught me how to work with a wide range of ages, levels, personalities, and learning goals, from complete beginners taking their first steps in Arabic to students who want to improve their speaking, reading, writing, grammar, or pronunciation.
My teaching approach is always personalized. I first identify the student’s level, goals, strengths, and areas that need improvement, then create lessons that suit their individual needs. I believe that learning a language should be practical, engaging, and encouraging rather than stressful.
For beginners, I focus on building a strong foundation in the Arabic alphabet, pronunciation, reading, vocabulary, and essential grammar. As students progress, we work on conversation, sentence formation, comprehension, writing, and real-life communication. I also use structured materials, practical exercises, repetition, and conversation practice to make each lesson useful and memorable.
