My lessons are built around the idea that learning only gets good after it gets hard, and I teach with that in mind because I’ve lived it myself; even though I ended up with all 9s, English Literature was the subject that used to tie my brain in knots, and it wasn’t until I broke the texts down slowly — theme by theme, line by line — that everything finally clicked, so I bring that same patient, step-by-step approach to every student I work with. When you’re in my lessons, nothing is rushed or thrown at you; we start by figuring out how you learn best, then build the session around your pace, your strengths, and the topics you struggle with most. We take apart difficult ideas together, explore meaning until it feels natural, and practise structuring answers so you feel confident rather than overwhelmed. I model strong writing, help you shape your own style, and use exam-style questions to make the real thing feel familiar instead of scary. If something’s confusing, we slow down; if something finally clicks, we build on it. My goal is to make English feel less like an impossible subject and more like a skill you’re growing into — something that takes time, effort, and a bit of faith, but pays off massively when you stick with it. By the end, you won’t just understand the content; you’ll feel grounded, capable, and genuinely proud of how far you’ve pushed yourself.
