I like to teach using a mix of slides, videos, model answers and exam questions. I especially like to give students as many opportunities to familiarise themselves with exam questions, and whilst this can understandably be daunting there is no pressure to do well first time. I have been tutoring since 2024, and my aim is to build the confidence of every single student I teach. Exam practice may begin as a few practice questions where I give the student a chance to answer, before helping when needed. Once an understanding of how to approach questions is well established questions can be undertaken in a formal manner where the student attempts the questions alone, and I mark afterward. The most important thing is that the student begins to gain confidence and understanding, as a deep understanding of content is essential to success.

I strongly believe in an individualised approach to teaching and always do my best to adapt my teaching to the learning style of each student. My goal is to foster a learning environment where students know that there is never a silly question to ask, and that being unsure is completely acceptable. I want my students to feel no pressure to pretend to know it all and instead be able to ask for clarification no matter how long it takes, as I am here to help them learn and improve.

Overall the aim is to help students do their best no matter what that may look like for them.
