I will begin the course of sessions by finding out what you would like the most help in and tailoring the lessons to this aim. My aim is for all my students to feel confident and uplifted after each session and by working together I will help each student to have a positive outlook on their academics.
The sessions will consist of us going through some past paper questions and work through these together. By building on previous knowledge, I will be able to support each individual to see how they are already succeeding and then guiding them to improve further. By having an understanding of each student's end goal, this will be built upon in the sessions; whether it is to achieve a certain grade, write a letter to a friend, or to feel more confident, all goals will be used to structure lessons.
I will give you some feedback on the work we have completed in the sessions and we'll talk about what went well and then what could be worked on.
As someone who has had tutors in Sixth Form, I understand and relate to the pressures of exams and my engaging and supportive approach will allow students to feel more confident in their studies.
Currently I am training to become a Speech and Language Therapist which means that I am using and confident in English, Biology and am being trained how to be flexible and communicate clearly to a range of people.
I have experience in 12 years volunteering with younger children so am confident in working with young people aged 3-18.
