I like to make sure to include several different learning techniques in each of my lessons, and to target the areas of understanding each student chooses. This being said, I will happily adapt to whatever teaching method you find most useful, however, these are some that I have found most productive in the past:

For students who are visual learners, I like to create notes that are easy on the photoreceptors in your eyes - colourful, picturesque and simple to look at. I encourage students to write their notes like how you might create a poster, and design my teaching materials as such.

For students who learn best through experience, I find that practice tests are the best way to go. Some students learn better verbally and prefer these tests to spoken, others may want them to be presented on the screen - either way works very well!

Other students are better at learning through repetition, and find that rewriting notes or using flashcards are the best use of their time. That being said, students may prefer to talk through their notes and target certain areas that they may not have understood or are struggling to remember.

If none of these catch your eye, I would love to have a chat about what works best for you - even if you're not sure what that is yet! Each student deserves the opportunity to learn how to study smarter, not harder, and it is my goal to help in the process of, put quite bluntly, figuring it all out.
