Online experience with the use of teaching materials and shared resources. All resources will be linked to informed practices that are based on required assessment criteria, ensuring that students understand exactly what is expected of them. Students will be pushed to achieve their goals, with my ability to engage, motivate and challenge them to reach even higher grades and go beyond what is required.
My lessons create opportunities and are structured around each student’s individual aims, objectives and learning needs. I believe psychology should not simply be about remembering theories and concepts; students should be encouraged to question, analyse, evaluate and apply psychological knowledge to real-life situations.
I am particularly interested in supporting students aged 16 and above who are studying psychology at college, sixth form, undergraduate or other post-16 levels. My experience includes teaching psychology-related subjects, research methods and sport psychology, alongside completing a PhD focused on emotional intelligence in teaching.
I can support students with understanding difficult psychological concepts, developing academic writing, structuring assignments, improving critical analysis, interpreting research, understanding quantitative and qualitative methods, evaluating evidence and preparing effectively for assessments and examinations.
My approach is supportive but challenging. I aim to build confidence while helping students become increasingly independent, reflective and critical thinkers. Every session is designed to provide clear progress, practical strategies and a pathway towards achieving the student’s academic potential.
