I've been teaching for more than 10 years adults and children and in private and public companies like the Spanish Congress.
All my students have achieved their goals and some have improved so much and at such a fast pace that they were quite impressed.
As I mentioned before I use student books, audios, videos, worksheets, debates, etc always trying to deliver fun classes.
When I teach I'm always correcting grammar or pronunciation mistakes so that little by little the student feels more confident and willing to speak more and interact more.
On the other hand I also believe that everything is about reinforcing the student's self-esteem, always mentioning how much a student is improving because learning a language is a big effort and us teachers we need to highlight this effort.
I love teaching and I feel so motivated to continue doing so when you observe their
improvement. Some of my students are even friends now because I've been teaching them for some time and now we have close ties. I feel so grateful to work in something I love and for meeting wonderful people!! I hope I will continue doing so for many years (:
I feel delighted when I observe that students can be speaking for an entire hour non-stop when a few months ago they were unable to speak more than a sentence and that everything they say now sounds much better.
With the right motivation, practice and the right tools we can achieve anything we want!!
