Giulia Shaughnessy

Hello everyone! My name is Giulia and I am a recent college graduate from the United States. In college I studied International Politics and Economics and Russian. Next fall I plan to move to Paris to study environmental policy at Sciences Po.

I have taken language classes every year since second grade, which means I know what great foreign language instruction looks like. It also means I know what bad foreign language instruction looks like. In my experience, the best kinds of language classes are those that are specifically personalised to the student's needs and goals. This is what I will try to do in my classes. If the student needs extra homework help, we will focus on homework. If the student wants additional work outside their course, I will create lesson plans, readings, and worksheets. If the student wants a conversational partner, I will engage them in conversation on any topic requested.
