Ciao! I’m Giorgia, a native Italian speaker and bilingual (Italian/English) language tutor. I grew up in Italy from age 6 to 19 and completed my education there, so you’ll get authentic pronunciation, real-life expressions, and a touch of Italian culture in every lesson. I’m patient, organised, and genuinely enjoy helping learners build confidence—whether you’re just starting out or polishing your conversational skills.
What our lessons look like
- Format: We can meet online (Zoom/Teams) or in person. I use screen-sharing, a digital whiteboard, and simple trackers in Docs/Excel to keep your progress visible and your goals clear. After each session, you’ll receive brief notes and optional homework to reinforce learning.
- Structure: Each lesson blends speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation in a practical, communicative way. We start with a quick warm-up in Italian, move into targeted practice (e.g., a grammar point or vocabulary theme), and finish with a short conversation or role-play to apply what you’ve learned.
- Materials: Expect picture prompts, flashcards, short texts, dialogues, songs or videos (as appropriate), and culture snippets—customs, everyday routines, and real-world contexts. I also use age-appropriate worksheets and conversational prompts to keep things varied and engaging.
- Personalisation: I adapt lessons to your level, goals, and learning style. For children, we use games, stories, songs, and routines to make Italian memorable and fun. For teens and adults, we’ll focus on functional language for travel, school support, conversation, or exam preparation, with clear explanations and practical practice.
- Feedback & progress: You’ll get clear, constructive feedback and simple assessments at regular intervals. I track your strengths and next steps so we can adjust pace and focus as you grow. Parents receive concise updates on progress and suggested practice at home.
What we’ll work on
- Pronunciation & listening: Building accurate sounds and natural rhythm through repetition, short dialogues, and listening clips.
- Vocabulary in context: Thematic sets (e.g., food, travel, daily routines) integrated into conversations and games.
- Grammar made simple: Clear, accessible explanations followed by guided practice and real-life use.
- Conversation & confidence: Role-plays, everyday phrases, and fluency strategies so you can speak comfortably from day one.
- Culture & authenticity: Expressions, customs, and mini-insights that bring Italian to life.

- I’ve supported homework and study habits, and I tailor lessons for school success, travel, or conversational fluency with clear goals and practical activities.
- I’m safeguarding-aware, respectful of privacy, and I maintain a positive, safe learning environment.
