My lessons are friendly, supportive and will be tailored to the individual's needs. I am always mindful that Law is a complex subject and it takes time to build up knowledge.

My style of teaching involves the understanding of the topic by research, then structuring the lesson based upon that. I am also aware that many students can find topics bewildering at the start. I too was the same. My method is to put a structure together so the student can build up knowledge of that subject - layer upon layer. This helps the student to understand the current law and how it has evolved over time.

Whether it's examinations, assignments or just subject knowledge - evaluating the history, present and future aspects of the legal system will score the best marks.

To achieve these high marks in exams, you need to understand exactly what the examiner is looking for in an answer. This includes being able to recite and analyse the black letter law whilst looking at any possible challenges using ALL relevant case law. Missing just one relevant case can reduce a first to a second - so it's really important to include all points - even if it is only to disregard them. The examiner wants to know that they have been considered.

At the end of the lesson, hopefully you will be in a great position to show your tutor/examiner that you fully understand the subject and can apply your knowledge to critique any loopholes/failings that exist currently.
