ENGLISH:

It seems strange for many people that one can teach maths online. When teaching face to face one expects to use a blackboard or pencil and paper. I tend to use an equation editor, and ask my students to dictate to me, so that they do not have to struggle with editing themselves, only with the material they are learning. It works out well.

On my webpage there are photos and comments from some of my students. Some of them are really happy with me especially the parents. I can certianly judge that by the Christmas gifts I receive.


ESPAÑOL:

A muchas personas les parece extraño que se pueda enseñar matemáticas en línea. Cuando se enseña cara a cara se espera utilizar una pizarra o lápiz y papel. Tiendo a usar un editor de ecuaciones y les pido a mis alumnos que me dicten, para que no tengan que luchar con la edición ellos mismos, solo con el material que están aprendiendo. Funciona bien.

En mi página web hay fotos y comentarios de algunos de mis alumnos. Algunos de ellos están muy contentos conmigo, especialmente los padres. Ciertamente puedo juzgarlo por los regalos de Navidad que recibo.

Il semble étrange pour beaucoup de gens que l'on puisse enseigner les mathématiques en ligne. Lorsqu'on enseigne en face à face, on s'attend à utiliser un tableau noir ou un crayon et du papier. J'ai tendance à utiliser un éditeur d'équations et à demander à mes élèves de me dicter, afin qu'ils n'aient pas à se battre pour éditer eux-mêmes, mais uniquement avec le matériel qu'ils apprennent. Cela fonctionne bien.

Sur ma page Web, il y a des photos et des commentaires de certains de mes élèves. Certains d'entre eux sont vraiment contents de moi, en particulier les parents. Je peux certainement en juger par les cadeaux de Noël que je reçois.

Für viele Leute ist es seltsam, dass man Mathe online unterrichten kann. Beim Präsenzunterricht erwartet man, eine Tafel oder Bleistift und Papier zu verwenden. Ich verwende eher einen Formeleditor und bitte meine Schüler, mir zu diktieren, damit sie sich nicht mit der Bearbeitung selbst herumschlagen müssen, sondern nur mit dem Stoff, den sie lernen. Das funktioniert gut.

Auf meiner Webseite gibt es Fotos und Kommentare von einigen meiner Schüler. Einige von ihnen sind wirklich glücklich mit mir, vor allem die Eltern. Das kann ich sicherlich anhand der Weihnachtsgeschenke beurteilen, die ich bekomme.
