I teach lessons over videocall. I am very friendly and relaxed by nature. We will go through texts together word by word. I will give you resources such as my language techniques booklet and my historical context booklets. I'll make sure to push you to the best of your abilities in your written style and critical thinking skills.

I understand that certain texts can be intimidating. I used to find Shakespeare and Gothic literature impossible to understand until a couple of really amazing teachers made them feel accessible to me.

I was diagnosed with ADHD later on in life and understand that students need teaching that is catered to them.

I respect every student as an individual and understand that everyone thinks differently and needs things explained to them differently.

Due to my passion for the subject I am naturally engaging and I am confident in my ability to convey complex subjects in a way that is accessible to all of my students.

Writing is as much about confidence as it is about practice. I always aim to build the confidence of my students.

I greatly welcome alternative opinions and interpretations of texts and see this as an important part of analysis.

I have found in my work that most students are far more competent than they believe once given some encouragement.
