My lessons are practical, structured and tailored to each student. We usually meet online for 60-minute sessions, using screen-share and shared documents so we can plan, write or edit together in real time. I like to break complex ideas into small, manageable blocks. A typical lesson might begin with a short, focused explanation, followed by a demonstration and then a guided exercise where you apply the technique to your own project. I give specific feedback as you work so you always know what’s going well and what to improve next. Between lessons, I can suggest optional tasks or reflections to keep you progressing at your own pace.
My approach is shaped by several years of experience creating educational video content and online courses for thousands of learners, as well as teaching through an online platform I founded. I’ve also developed learning resources and digital content for a major national theatre, helping young audiences engage with performance and storytelling from home. This mix of teaching, course design and professional film practice means I understand both how people learn and how creative projects are made in the real world.
Lessons are suitable for motivated secondary and sixth-form students, university students, and adult learners at beginner to intermediate level. Whatever your starting point, we will build from your strengths and set achievable, inspiring goals.
