I have over 25yrs teaching in Higher Education, I have worked with schools and colleges giving guest lectures and workshops and I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I am able to provide help with developing your research skills; assessment planning; primary and secondary research skills and application; development of ideas, arguments, hypotheses whilst exploring and critiquing alternative points of view; essay, report and dissertation writing; and presentation skills.

I provide individual personalised guidance and tutoring that we discuss and plan together in line with the specific help you need.

We will work together to identify your needs before progressing with an agreed approach. I like to work interactively with a student, I believe it is more beneficial to your personal, academic and professional development if we are consistently discussing a reviewing your needs and progress.

It isn’t about me telling you what to do, it’s more helpful, productive and beneficial to you if we are able to work together and through discussion we can frequently reflect on your progress and adapt where necessary. The more comfortable you feel in being able to ask questions, open up and discuss what we are doing the more you will be able to take away from the experience.
