My lessons are friendly, relaxed and interactive, with a strong focus on making Biology clear, interesting and enjoyable. With over 12 years of experience teaching Biology in higher education, I have developed a teaching style that focuses on understanding rather than simply memorising information.

Every student is different, so I tailor my lessons to your individual needs, confidence and learning style. We might begin by identifying areas you find difficult or reviewing a topic you have recently covered at school or college. From there, I can break down challenging concepts into simple, manageable ideas and gradually build your understanding and confidence.

Lessons can include clear explanations, diagrams, worked examples, discussions, quizzes and exam-style questions. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping you understand how to interpret questions, structure your answers and apply your knowledge effectively. If you are preparing for an upcoming exam, we can focus specifically on the topics and skills you need to improve.

I want my lessons to be a place where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and saying when something doesn't make sense. There is no pressure to already know the answer — my role is to help you get there.
