Gabor Lovas

My name is Gabor originally coming from Hungary. I have German teacher and Philosophy degrees and also started the Grünes Diplom at Goethe Institut. After receiving my degrees, I did PhD studies in German for 3 years. Besides, I am CELTA qualified English teacher too.

I have been living in London for 13 years and have been teaching German ever since in language schools here. I started learning German more than 30 years ago and I am still passionate about that which means: I keep learning German by reading and listening at my level and keep developing my skills by communicating with native speakers on a regular basis. In order to be able to become an excellent teacher I need to be an excellent learner. The key of success in my opinion is consistency, passion and never-give-up attitude which all I possess and will show and teach my students in every single class. My hobbies are travelling, cooking, reading, watching intellectually challenging movies, and cycling.

I am passionate about German and English teaching and offer online classes. I teach all levels, from A1 to C1. Classes are always customised to student's needs. I always make sure that my students are fully engaged in learning by using visual aids, videos, listening and a variety of exercises such as sentence puzzles, crosswords, grammar exercises etc. I am a quite strict teacher with sense of humour and focus on communicative approach. I will not motivate but inspire which is a huge difference. I use the so-called "deepening technique" which includes intensive bombardment with questions to deepen the particular topic and extend the vocabulary within short period of time. Upon request the class can be recorded and the student can use the recording to consolidate the learning process. At the beginning of learning journey we will set clear goals and upon request I can help with a step by step learning journal and will keep tracking the learning development of the students even between classes.
