My lessons are structured, supportive, and interactive. Having taught at a KS2 level, I understand how important it is to keep sessions engaging while also maintaining clear learning objectives. I typically begin each lesson with a short recap or warm-up activity to revisit previous learning and build confidence. From there, I introduce the main topic in a simple and accessible way, using clear examples, visual aids, and step-by-step explanations to make sure the foundations are secure.

I achieved a Grade A in A-level Maths, and I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at university, which involves degree-level mathematics. This means I have a strong understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving techniques, but I also know how to break them down into a level that is appropriate and manageable for younger students. My academic background allows me to teach with confidence while ensuring explanations remain clear and age appropriate.

During lessons, I include a mix of guided practice and independent questions so students can apply what they’ve learned, with support available throughout. I encourage students to explain their thinking out loud, as this helps identify misunderstandings early and builds confidence in their reasoning. Where possible, I incorporate games, real-life examples, or small challenges to keep lessons dynamic and engaging, especially for KS2 learners.

Overall, my aim is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I focus not only on improving academic performance but also on building confidence and independent learning skills.
