My tutoring approach is highly personalised, adapting to the individual needs of each student while remaining grounded in research-based pedagogy and the extensive training I have received as an English specialist. I focus on developing strong exam technique, writing stamina and refined writing skills, ensuring students feel confident and prepared for assessments, whether it be GCSE or A Level English. Drawing on my PGDE qualification, AQA training, eight years of teaching experience and three years as a Head of Department, I bring both subject expertise and a clear understanding of what exam boards expect. My lessons balance structured guidance with opportunities for independent thinking, helping students make meaningful progress and become more capable, resilient learners. My lessons will be between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on student need.
