In the past, I was a tutor for individuals with disabilities. I tutored in independence training for a 27 year-old man diagnosed with Autism. I tutored him in applications of communication on digital devices as well as a three-month process on how to use applications of mobility service providers. To assess our progress, I provided interactive quizzes and written reports at the end of each week. Additionally, I was a remote tutor of a student of New York University for the course of Introduction to Psychology. I prepared and provided sessions twice a week for 2 hours. The student ended up receiving an overall grade of an A (94%).

I tend to use the format of question analysis when teaching, specifically focusing on the questions being asked and how to approach them. For example, descriptive (how) vs. analytical (why / to what effect). I find that most students usually already know the answer, they just need to understand what is being asked. In general, I pay attention to what they already know, ask where they might have trouble, and work with them to set up goals.

The dynamics of the lessons are focused yet fun! I aim to have my students feel comfortable asking questions and foster their confidence and independence with their work.
