I have taught the English language to a large number of students countrywide. I love it as a language as my second language passionately. Learning the English language is a process and it might not be easy. Understanding the students is the first thing a tutor should grasp.

I normally engage my students first with non-verbal clues of communication. That is how I understand different kinds of students. Thereby, we will translate their native language to English by first writing all the alphabets. Mastering the English Alphabet is the key to understand the English language. Thereafter, we will learn the consonants and vowels. How to pronounce them and how to form words. I believe in practice makes perfect. Continuous practice leads to perfection.

Since it's an online platform, I usually advise my students to try and find a stable internet connection so that the lesson can be in "real time". This is because communication is key and a stable internet connection is vital! For example, I pronounce a word, you respond immediately. That way, we can communicate effectively. I as the tutor will correct the student immediately if the word pronounced is incorrect immediately. Laxity in pronunciation due to poor internet connectivity will lead to poor communication between the tutor and the student.

Jokes are part of my lessons so that the students can stay alert all through the lesson. It makes the lessons be more fun and since the brain always remembers the happy moments, there you have answer!
