I’m passionate about gaining as much teaching knowledge as I can through personal tutoring - it’s something I would’ve loved to have had available growing up.
Mathematics can be an incredibly difficult subject to grasp for some students, and as my favourite subject in school, I would love to be able to simplify it and even make it enjoyable for young people. I believe in finding the best working method for each student, tailoring my teaching to their needs - one size does not fit all! I think in group learning environments (as I experienced particularly in secondary school) it’s very easy to struggle alone and fall behind when a subject becomes tough, along with the added pressure of exams and results. If we can find a way to make maths easy for you, the more of a breeze those exams will seem. Depending on how you like to learn, I am happy to use things such as visual aids (whiteboard presentation) and practise questions to help you get familiar with things that could come up in exams. Even if you are familiar with a certain module, sometimes the best thing to do is start from scratch to really nail the basics! I think once you overcome your fear of maths, you may even learn to love it.
