Fatuma Saleh

I am a Computer Science Graduate from University Of Pune, India. I recently upgraded my education as a Full Stack Developer from Lighthouse Labs, Canada. My passion for teaching came along with my passion to help people. I strongly believe that education is needed for a productive society and that education is a right, not a privilege. I have worked and volunteered with students of different age groups. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Math and Computer Programming. I was self employed as an internet service provider and also as an instructor of programming languages, hardware and networking courses in Eritrea. It is really rewarding to see my students reach their goals. When I came to Canada I realized that many newcomers struggle because they don't speak English. I have volunteered as an ESL tutor for three years where I taught newcomers from different parts of the world. It was really fun and the lessons included conversation circles where everyone shared their opinion on the topic of the day. This helped me to be a good listener so that I can figure out what doubt my students have and guide them in that area.
When I am not working, I love spending time with my family, going out for long walks and reading books.
