I am a well-equipped and a student-oriented teacher. I build a rapport with my students so that they can express their troubles during the learning process. The concept of “learning is achieved through mistakes” acts as the milestone for me. I adopt an eclectic approach to treat the problematic areas. Collaboration is an undistinguishable element of my classes. All students are welcome to engage, study and be activated in my class. To illustrate, to practice speaking, I make use of information gap activities and focus on fluency rather than accuracy as a part of Communicative Approach, whereas Lexical Approach is always there for me to guide my learners on studying words in collocations. When they have trouble in reading, I implement jigsaw and let them learn from each other. I do not “teach” grammar; on the contrary, they “learn” it as I follow inductive technique. I even sometimes let them discover the rules as a pair or group work, which is an undistinguishable element of my classes. Finally, due to the necessity of being up-to-date in teaching process, I put emphasis on technological aspects in every step of my lessons, too. My enthusiasm towards using technology was so high that I even directed a project and wrote a research paper on it despite the limited facilities at a state university. Some examples from my classes are that I love using polls like “Mentimeter” or brainstorming with “Whiteboard” as a warm-up. For the “while” stage, they answer the questions of reading or listening tasks on certain platforms, or as a follow-up activity, they practice vocabulary. I even create a forum on Padlet and sometimes, as homework, ask my students to share posts about the topic we cover during the lesson and they start a discussion below them.
