I have my own personal style of teaching which has been improving over the years with experience. I always begin with the basic concept making sure the student fully understands what I am delivering and is ready to move on with harder concepts gaining confidence and interest in the subject.
Math's is a subject which is clearly understood through practical details and examples relating to real life, so I make sure the student grasps the concept through examples.
I try to break down the contents of a chapter categorically so that the student is able to combine the chapter as a whole after the class.
So my methodology is structured around the following.
Beginning with the objectives that a student must take home from the lesson.
Continue to intrigue the student with an an Introduction such that it attracts the students attention.
Followed by the delivery in which the lesson is taught and focusing on the specific skills students need to learn.
Then guided Practice is extremely important through practice problems worked out with assistance from the teacher.
After the student gains a bit of confidence Independent practice is essential so the student does the problems on their own with little to no assistance.
It is important that the student has the required Materials/Equipment needed to complete the lesson.
I have always enjoyed teaching and imparting my own knowledge as the idea of teaching helps me feel useful and supportive. Having patience in the process is the key to success.
