I started tutoring GCSE Chemistry while studying for my A-levels, and that’s where I discovered how rewarding it is to help students go from feeling stuck to really understanding a topic. Since then, I’ve worked with Elevate Education, supporting students aged 13–18 and working closely with schools to help hundreds of students prepare for exams and achieve the grades they were aiming for. Alongside my degree, I also tutor younger medical students through university societies, which has given me lots of experience in breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand explanations.
All of this means I’m very used to adapting my teaching to each student. In my lessons, I focus on making sure you truly understand the content, while also building your confidence and exam skills so you can approach any question feeling prepared and capable.
I also really value creating a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions—no matter how small—and learning at their own pace. I know from my own experience how much of a difference the right guidance can make, and I always aim to be patient, encouraging, and approachable in every session. I take the time to understand how each student learns best, whether that’s through practice questions, visual explanations, or step-by-step walkthroughs.
Beyond GCSEs, I can also support students with university preparation, including interview practice, admissions tests, and sharing helpful resources and advice from my own journey into medicine, if that interests them. My goal is not just short-term improvement, but helping students build lasting confidence and skills so they feel prepared for exams, interviews, and the next stage of their education.
