My lessons are personalised, interactive and tailored to each student's goals, level and learning style. We begin by identifying what you already understand and the areas you would like to improve, then work through the content together using clear explanations, real-world examples and engaging discussion.
Depending on your needs, lessons can focus on understanding psychological theories and research, applying concepts to questions, developing critical evaluation and essay-writing skills, or preparing for exams. I also use practice questions, active recall and feedback to help you consolidate your knowledge and become more confident answering independently.
Having graduated with First Class honours in Psychology from the University of York and gone on to complete an MSc in Counselling Studies at the University of Edinburgh, I bring strong academic knowledge alongside experience tutoring and supporting students. My aim is to make Psychology understandable, interesting and enjoyable while helping you develop the confidence and skills to succeed.
I understand that Psychology can sometimes feel overwhelming, particularly when there are many theories, studies and researchers to remember. I therefore break topics into manageable sections and adapt the pace according to your needs. I encourage students to ask questions, challenge ideas and develop their own understanding rather than simply memorising information. I also provide constructive feedback and practical strategies that students can use between lessons, helping them make steady progress and feel more prepared for assessments.
I want every student to leave each lesson feeling more confident, motivated, as well as capable of achieving their academic goals independently.
