Faraaz Mohammed

I am a Chemistry graduate from King’s College London with over two years of tutoring experience in GCSE and A Level Chemistry, as well as GCSE Maths. I also work as a teaching assistant across both primary and secondary schools, where I support students of different ages and learning needs, including those with SEN and EAL backgrounds.

My lessons are designed to be clear, structured, and adapted to each student’s goals and ability level. I use a variety of methods such as step-by-step explanations, visual aids, exam-style questions, and active recall to help students understand and retain key content. I also focus on improving exam technique by reviewing mark schemes, practising under timed conditions, and breaking down how to approach difficult questions.

What makes my lessons effective is the supportive and calm environment I create. I enjoy helping students feel confident with topics they previously found difficult. Whether someone is aiming for a pass or pushing for an A or A star, I guide them with patience, structure, and consistent feedback. Every lesson has a clear goal, and I always ensure the student walks away understanding more than when they arrived.
