My lessons are structured, focused, and tailored to the individual student’s needs, while remaining flexible and supportive. At the outset, I take time to understand the student’s course requirements, assessment format, strengths, and areas of difficulty. This allows each session to be purposeful and aligned with specific academic goals, whether that is exam preparation, coursework support, or improving core legal understanding.
Lessons usually follow a clear format. We begin by identifying the topic and learning objectives, followed by a concise explanation of the relevant legal principles. I place strong emphasis on clarity and structure, breaking complex areas of law into manageable components. Where appropriate, I use practical examples and problem-style questions to help students understand how the law is applied, not just memorised.
As a UK-qualified solicitor with extensive experience in commercial and public-sector legal practice, I bring a practical, real-world perspective to my teaching. This helps students see how legal principles operate beyond textbooks, while still remaining firmly grounded in academic requirements. My aim is to create a calm, supportive learning environment in which students feel confident asking questions and developing a strong, independent understanding of the law.
