What My Lessons Are Like

My art lessons are designed to be fun, interactive, and personalized, helping students learn new skills while enjoying the creative process. As a Licensed Architect and professional artist with over 8 years of artistic experience and nearly 4 years of online teaching experience, I combine creativity with strong technical foundations.

Each lesson is conducted online through live, one-on-one sessions, allowing me to focus completely on the student. I begin by understanding the student’s current skill level, interests, and goals. From there, I create lessons that are appropriate for their ability while still challenging them to improve.

Lessons may include drawing fundamentals, sketching, perspective, character design, proportions, composition, colored pencils, acrylic painting, oil pastels, and other creative techniques. I demonstrate each concept step-by-step, then allow students to practice while providing guidance, corrections, and encouragement along the way.

I believe children learn best when they are given the freedom to experiment, ask questions, and express their own ideas. Instead of simply copying a drawing, students are encouraged to understand the techniques behind it and develop their own artistic style.

My goal is to make every session productive but never overwhelming. I want students to finish each lesson feeling proud of what they created and excited for the next one.
